About Free Astrology Chart: how the browser-based calculation engine works, what astronomy powers it, and the honesty policy behind every reading.

Free Astrology Chart is a free, independent astrology toolkit that runs entirely in your browser. It exists to answer one question well: given a birth date, a birth time and a birth place, what does the sky actually look like at that exact moment — and what do the classic traditions of astrology say about it?

What we do

The site generates a real astrology chart — also called a birth chart or natal chart — from your birth details, and then builds focused tools on top of the same calculation core: an astrology calculator for planet placements, a houses explorer, transit comparisons, Saturn return dates, a natal chart reading, a downloadable chart report, sign finders for the Sun, Venus and Mars, and an astrocartography world map. Thirteen tools, one engine, zero accounts.

How the calculations work

Planet positions are genuine astronomical computations. The engine uses Astronomy Engine, an open-source planetary ephemeris library (MIT licensed) that calculates geocentric apparent positions for the Sun, Moon and planets from modern numerical theories. Every chart applies the tropical zodiac, true-of-date ecliptic coordinates and a documented house system — you can inspect the exact settings on the Methodology page. Ascendants, house cusps, aspects, transit hits, Saturn return conjunctions and astrocartography lines are all derived from the same numbers, so every page on this site agrees with every other page.

Privacy first

Everything is computed on your device. Birth data is never uploaded, stored on a server, or attached to analytics events. Cities are searched from a local offline index; the map is rendered from static public-domain coastline data. Close the tab and your inputs are gone.

Honesty policy

Astronomy is mathematics; astrology is interpretation. The positions shown here can be verified against any ephemeris. The meanings attached to them — what Venus in Libra "means", whether a Saturn return is "hard" — are traditional symbolic frameworks for entertainment and self-reflection, not scientifically verified effects on personality or life events. We keep the two clearly separated on every page, and we will never tell you that a chart predicts illness, money, love or fate.
